The Romans Route to explaining the Gospel

The following verses are all taken from Paul's letter to the Romans, which we studied in Spring 2005 (listen to the recordings of the talks). Learning them provides a simple way of explaining to Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.

Man's Need
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23

Sin's Penalty
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23

God's Provision
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

Man's Response
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." - Romans 10:9-10
