Prayer Meetings

As a CU, we each have a different part to play in sharing the news of Jesus around the University. One thing we can all be doing though, is praying for everything that goes on, and that God might use us to do His work here.

Unless the LORD builds the house,
its builders labour in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.
Psalm 127:1 (NIV)

At the CU Prayer meetings we take some time out to commit all of our activities to God, to thank Him for what He has been doing, and to pray for future plans. We pray about our nine20 groups, teams, events, talks we have heard, and many other aspects of the CU. We also spend some time just worshipping God for who He is, by reading the Bible together, praying over it, and singing.

We'd love you to come and pray with us. Anyone is very welcome. There are usually two or three prayer meetings every week, so could you commit to coming to one of them?

I do hope you'll find them really encouraging, and a great way to spend one hour of your day!

Prayer meetings are on Mondays at 7.45-9am, other times to be arranged (all in the Chapel)
