World Mission

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" - Matthew 28:18-20.

World mission

World mission is part of the aims of the CU. The Bible shows us that God is a Missionary God, with God's plan being for all nations. As Christians we have been called to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, partaking in God's work to bring people from all nations into His family. It is important that as Christians we consider how we can be part of such work, whether that be going abroad ourselves or supporting the work through prayer or financially etc.

"After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb." Revelation 7:9.

Here at Nottingham we are greatly privileged to have many people from different nations coming to study at this University. There are over 4,000 international students, many of whom come from countries where they may not have ever had the opportunity to hear anything about Jesus Christ. What an amazing opportunity we have to get to know people from other cultures, to develop close friendships with them and to share the glorious news of what Christ has done for us! As a CU we are committed to reaching international students through various ways.
